L'Oréal Casting Creme Gloss: Beautiful colour result if you can put up with stringy and m ... (128 words)

I used Casting Light Brown and it absolutely ruined my hair. My hair was stringy and matted after using it - I couldn't get a comb through it. I went to the hairdressers and they had to cut about 4 inches off and my hair has still not fully recovered. Just like some of you may be thinking - I though also maybe I had done something wrong or that it was just a bad pack so I bought another pack and used it on my human hair extension piece and yes, it ruined the extension... Needless to say, I wouldn't recommend this product - on the up side, the colour was beautiful and I am struggling to find the same colour in a different ...  Read the complete review

FROM BLONDE TO BRUNETTE (95 words)
by Emma - written on 02/09/07

I was really nervous about dyeing my hair as i have only ever had highlights as im a golden blonde colour and had compliments most my life. But even i wanted a change. I choose the Vanilla Caramel flavour which looked nice on the pack. It was easy to apply and wash out etc. The results are great, my hair is a dark brown/auburn colour now and its a great change to by blonde. I just am hoping the colour does not fade too quickly. But for a first timer im ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review L'Oréal Casting Creme Gloss: Hair Dye with a glossy finish (763 words)

My hair is naturally quite mousy. A sort of dull light brown colour with a hint of blonde. I don't know how I ended up with it, as my parents both have dark hair (or had, my dad is grey now, my mam is heading that way!) and both of my sisters are natural blondes. Trust me to get the rouge gene! After years of bleaching it blonde in my teens, for the past three or four years, I have been dyeing it dark brown. Dyeing my hair is a bit of a chore for me - the main issue being that it can be messy, and I hate the task of trying to wash the dye off the sink (and sometimes even the walls) and not to mention I've ruined several towels now! Anyway, I had put off ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Not for your mott! (1093 words)

I've never messed around with the colour of my hair. I never needed to, all my life I've had the kind of blonde hair that hairdressers would say 'Oh, what a lovely colour, which dye is it' and then try to sell me highlights when I tell them it's natural. However, over the last couple of years its been getting darker, boring mousy miserable dark blonde. I hate it but I don't want to bleach my hair lighter so I've been toying for a long time with the idea of dying brown. Recently I took the plunge. L'Oreal colour spa is non permanent so if it turns out awful I can just wash my hair twenty four times before I leave the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Casting Creme Gloss: Banish those greys (531 words)
by - written on 09/11/09 (Very useful, 396 readings)

Much to my disgust, my hair has decided to turn grey right at the front where I can see it every time I look in the mirror. I usually hide this with Clairol Nice 'n Easy Golden Brown but have found lately that this tends to make my hair very dry. I therefore decided to have a change and bought L'oreal Casting Creme Gloss in Light Brown. My natural hair colour is mousey brown with a few hints of auburn when caught in the right light! The Casting Creme Gloss is, according to the box "a conditioning colour - no ammonia, visible shimmering tones and lasts for up to 28 shampoos, blends away greys". This sounded like the sort of thing I was looking for ...  Read the complete review
