Advantages: good quality shadows, only about a fiver

Disadvantages: not enough shades for me, applicators are no good

These L'Oreal Colour Appeal Platinum eye shadows cost about £4.99 and come in about 7 colours. (I think it's 7 as I've only seen these in Boots and Superdrug and haven't found any more than 7.)

These eye shadows come in a cream coloured case with a clear lid and there's a little sponge tip applicator inside. I find that these applicators aren't very good an I get better results with different eye shadow brushes than the ones that came with it.

The eye shadow itself is quite vibrant and the colours available are: silver, gold, taupe, bronze, plum, blue and beige. For someone who loves different and epically vibrant colours, there's not that much choice here and they are quite tame but will suit the make up wearers who like soft, natural colours. These shadows have a lovely frosted sheen to them, which adds a nice multi-dimensional effect to the eyes.

The eye shadows go on quite smoothly and are blendable, you just need to use the right tools as you will not get a professional result with the applicators provided.

I would recommend these shadows to anyone who likes soft, natural, multi-dimensional, shimmery shades; as they are not too expensive and are good qulaity; therefore are good value for money.
