I don't wear very much make up throughout the day, but I do always use a small amount of brown eye shadow, I don't know why I always use brown but it is the colour I always have used and old habits are hard to break! I spotted the L'Oreal Paris color Appeal trio pro whilst shopping in Boots, the colours looked very nice and appealing so I decided to purchase it, the usual cost is £6.99 but it was on an introductory offer and cost me £4.99. The eye shadows are advertised that they give you eyes that look like famous stars, this one is modeled by Penelope Cruz! This isnt the reason I purchased it though, I just liked the colours!!
The eye shadow I purchased is not one that I would use throughout the day, but save for when I get to have a night out. It states on the front of the box that it is for hazel eyes, I have blue eyes and it looks fine on me so I don't think this really matters!!
The eye shadow box itself is black, with a see through section where the eye shadows are, so you can see the colours of them. There are three different colours, a creamy colour, a light brown and a dark brown. These are all designed to be worn together for maximum effect. When you open the plastic box, there are two applicators inside to apply the eye shadow with. They have clear plastic handles and white sponge tips, one is round in shape and the other one is long and pointy.
The colours have numbers in the actual eye shadow, they are numbered from one to three, the reason for this is that there is a drawing of an eye on the back and they have put the numbers on the eye where you are supposed to put the eye shadow, I liked this idea as you then know you are putting the colours in the best places in order to maximize your eyes. The number three colour should be applied to the top of your eye between the eyebrow and the eye lid, number two should be applied on the eyelid and number three should be applied on the outside edge of your eye, partly on the upper corner and partly underneath your eye.
I really like this eye shadow, it is very easy to apply and you don't need to use a lot of it to get the effect you want. In the past I have found that the eye shadow never looks the colour it does in the box once you apply it, but that isnt the case with this one, it goes on your eyes easily and really stands out, the colours have a slight shimmer to them and look quite glittery and glam, just like a film stars!! The eye shadow also lasts for much longer than usual, I find that it lasts me all night without having to re-apply at all.
Summary: A great eyeshadow.
