I find it really hard to find a decent eye shadow in the shades I like. During the day I like to wear eye shadows but tend to prefer the more neutral shades of the brown/beiges variety and although plenty of brands have shades like this a lot of the time the colours are either not intense enough in terms of being noticeable or they are a matt colour and I do prefer a little bit of a metallic hue. So I tend always to be keeping an eye on brands and what eyeshadows they have. My most recent eye shadow to my collection was bought from a make up website and wasn't a purchase I had intended to buy but bought at a reasonable £2.99 it was worth trying. The eye shadow ... I'm not a big eye shadow wearer, but I have quite a collection, some have been passed on from family members, some were a part of bigger sets, and some have been bought because I couldn't resist the colour or texture the L'oreal colour appeal chrome shine eye shadow is of the latter type. I first bought a couple of these as stocking fillers for my eldest daughter, they were only a few pounds from DirectCosmetics at the time. I must admit I was fairly mesmerised by the beautiful iridescent shimmer of the shadows and was quite jealous that I couldn't afford some myself. Well I'm now the lucky owner of one of the shadows I bought for her, and one of my own. My ... Read the complete review

There are not many cosmetics that I can say that I am completely faithful too. My current foundation may be ticking all the right boxes for now but that doesn't stop me from looking out for something better. My bronzer has never let me down but that doesn't mean that a different bronzer is not going to catch my eye. But when I found the L'oreal Colour Appeal Chrome Shine eye shadows, I knew it was the beginning of a long and monogamous relationship and I haven't looked back since. Firstly, the way the product is displayed is beautiful. It appears in a cosmic starry shape which doesn't disappear with use. The shades available are often multi tone with an ... I bought this eye shadow recently because where I work held a "pink charity day" where we had to include something pink in anything we could. Clothes, make up, pens, pencils just about anything you could think of. I hadn't got any pinkish eye shadow because I always tend to wear darker colours. It must be the only thing I don't have in pink! I went into Superdrug to have a look and came home with the L'Oreal Colour Appeal Chrome eye shadow in Golden Rose. At the moment they are on sale for £5.19 as they have a pound off. The eye shadow comes in a nice little squarish plastic case with a hinged lid. I like hinged lids because there's less chance of ... I have fancied one of these eye shadows for a good while now and while visiting boots lately I seen they had a wonderful offer on where you could chose any brand make-up items on 3 for 2. I chose three things and this eye shadow was one of them. The reason I had found out about them originally was because they tend to be all over the magazines and you always hear great reviews about them. Choosing a colour was incredibly hard as there was too many lovely ones to choose from I could have easily taken the lot and wore every shade as there wasn't one I didn't like. I absolutely loved the bolder shades such as greens and purples however I needed something ... Read the complete review
