I was given two L'Oreal makeup vouchers for Boots a few months ago when there was a special offer of £2 per product off in this range so I had a look at what they had...

One of the range I really liked was Chrome Shine/Color Appeal which was a range of really funky metallic shades - I think there were about six shades which I really liked but chose two at £2.88 each after the voucher had been deducted at the till.

I was really pleased with my purchases as I am just starting to get into eye shadows and these seemed really good quality and looked gorgeous in their shiny gold trimmed containers! :)

The two shades I got were '151 Pure Gold' and '165 Golden Rose'. The first one says micro-fine Color Appeal on it and the second one says metal lame Chrome Shine.

Both containers are square with a flip top lid; each one has a sponge applicator in a small bottom fitted compartment, and the eye shadow themselves have a gorgeous multi-star printed design in them.

The shadows are really shiny, almost glittery and very metallic which I liked.

I tried one colour on one eyelid and the other on the other, and then took that off and tried both colours on each eye to see the effect.

The pigments were very strong and it is very shiny and looks expensive on, I really liked the pretty effect when I experimented!

When I used to for going out I took both with me just incase I needed to touch either colour up but they stayed on really well. These shadows are made in Italy but it doesn't tell the buyer or user if they care hypoallergenic or not but I had no skin reaction nor did my eyes get sore...

I think the quality of this makeup is really nice, it stayed put even though I got hot and sweaty jumping around dancing :)

Five stars from me for these cosmetics, I can really recommend them!
