Advantages: Certainly does remove make up well.

Disadvantages: Strange texture. Very oily.

I am a wearer of Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation, which is a super long-lasting formula meaning you need a special make up remover to take it off. Having previously bought Estee Lauder's make up remover at around £17, when I saw this in Boots for £5.49 I had to give it a try.

The product has a strange texture which I can only describe as an 'oily gel'. You use just a small amount which you rub over your dry face. As it has such an oily texture it spreads quite easily over the face. You can then remove the product with cotton wool, or like I did rinse with water. Once water is added the gel transforms and goes milky and it rinses off easily taking all of your make up with it.

I did find that this product worked as in it did remove my long lasting make up, however due to the strange oily texture of it I found myself washing my face with a facial wash afterwards just to feel really clean. Therefore I think it was a bit of a false economy as I ended up using two products to clean my face instead of one. I think that perhaps a bit of baby oil would have worked just as well for a lot less expense.

Summary: Worth the money if you wear heavy make up and don't mind oil-based products.

Try using the green De-Maq (Velvet Skin I think its called). This is the one I use and its great. Its a creamy formula that you put onto wet skin, massage and rinse and does not leave any kind of residue behind. Not sure where you live, but Tesco are doing this on special offer for 92p at the moment.
Hope this helps xx
