I don't use hairspray often but when I do I use Elnett by L'Oreal Paris. I think I choose this because years ago my nan used to use it and I grew up with her always having a bottle in the bathroom and so this is just the one I choose naturally whenever I go to buy a hairspray. To me, I always think that it looks like an old fashioned hairspray as the picture on the front looks really old to me. It has a pencil draw lady on it with hair billowing around her and it seems old but I guess this hairspray has stood the test of time. In fact L'Oreal actually say that Elnett is, "Our finest hairspray used by the finest stylists," so it's obviously a very well respected product.

I have always liked L'Oreal products and use a number of them. According to an article I read, The L'Oréal Group is the world's largest cosmetics and beauty company and is now over 100 years old. L'Oreal have such a good reputation in the beauty world, obviously as they are the largest and I have always liked their products and know they are of quite a good quality.

The hairspray is said to disappear at the stroke of a brush. That's what I really like about it. I am not a big fan of hair that has been styled to within an inch of its life and don't like my hair to feel sticky of as if it can't move so the fact that you still get hold with this hairspray and are able to run your fingers through your hair is great! Apparently this unique formula has been developed in the L'Oreal laboratories and offers long lasting hold without a feeling of stiffness. I use this hairspray whenever I curl my hair. The hairspray is very easy to use and for those of you who are unfamiliar with how to use it there are actually instructions on the back of the can. You spray your hair in short bursts from about 30cm away. Any closer and your hair will just become wet with all the fine liquid that you are spraying on it, any further and you will not get much coverage. WHen I have finished spraying I like to spray a bit of hairspray up in the air and then walk under the falling spray just to get a final coverage. When I spray this hairspray onto my curls I can feel it coating the curls but not making them stiff. This way my hair still has lots of bounce in it and my hair looks fresh and natural and not styled which I love.

Apparently the hairspray also has a patented micro-diffuser which sprays ultra-fine so you can hardly see it or feel it and it disappears at the stroke of a brush, leaving hair feeling clean, soft and shiny. My hair is definitely soft after using this hairspray and if I have used it the day/night before and then don't wash it in the morning I can still just brush it and have a really nice hairspray for the rest of the day.

The hairspray does have a somewhat chemically smelling smell but then I think all hairsprays do really but I have to say this is a better smell than most and will not linger around on your hair so if you are wearing perfume this will not winder the smell.

A 400ml can of this hairspray will cost you £6.02 but what is great is that it also comes in a smaller version, a 75ml can which is perfect for slipping into your bag for late night touchups!
