Advantages: gets rid of dandruff, cleans hair, long lasting
Disadvantages: none - yet
I have used anti dandruff shampoos for years now, even though, as the television advertisement says with such incredulity "But you don't have dandruff!". But I would probably have to say thanks must go to the makers of the anti - danduff shampoos for leaving me flake free!
I started looking around for an alternative to Head and Shoulders when the pirce of it kept going up and up. It is about £3.50 for the largest bottle and although I wanted people to stop calling me snowy, I did not want to be bankrupt. So I tried this particular anti dandruff shampoo as it was on an introductory offer back when it was released. I think it was about 2 years ago anyway when I first noticed it and tried it. The introductory offer was a bottle of 500ml for £0.99, but I ususally pick it up for about £1.99, although it is often on offer.
I was also swung by the fact that I was apparently worth it, so I thought I would give L'Oreal a try. I wanted to use a brand that I had heard of, as I did once try a supermarket own brand of anti-dandruff shampoo and it was not very good at stopping dandruff, or even very good at cleaning hair!
Now the bottle is pretty easy to spot as it does stand out, it is dark blue with gold and white writing on it.
I have short hair, so the 500ml bottle lasts for ages, which is good obviously. I do wash my hair evey day, but again, I would say I get about 4- 5 months of washing out of the 500ml bottle.
The shampoo itself is a golden colour and has a different smell to Head and Shoulders, it is more chemically, or more like a shampoo that will actually do something. But after a few days I had got used to the smell of the champoo, although thankfully it does not leave your hair smelling strangely at all, rather it smells nice and clean.
It does claim to work from the first wash and I think it did. Also, as a shampoo it leaves hair soft and not greasy looking straight away. I really liked this shampoo.
So, if you no longer want to have those embarrasing moments when someone asks you if it is snowing outsiede, then my advice would be to get down to your local chemist/supermarket and pick up some of this good stuff quickly!
Summary: Does a great job at riding dandruff
