I love trying different shampoos and I always alternate between 2 or 3 different brands as I find my hair is more managable if I keep changing. I had been using Herbal Essences a lot but I was disappointed with the last one I bought, in the past I used Elvive so I decided to try it again. Currently this is on offer in Boots where two 250ml bottles cost £2.50.


The shampoo is designed for normal hair. It is described as containing multi-vitamins and on the front of the bottle it labels these 'multi-vitamins' as E, PP and Pro-Vitamin B5, I am familiar with these vitamins in other shampoos too. They are designed to nourish your hair while making it soft and shiny. This shampoo is also a mild formula so it is suitable for daily use.

You use the shampoo like any other shampoo simply wetting your hair applying an amount lathering and rinsing. The shampoo is really creamy and I found I only needed a small amount to get a really good lather. I always have a preference for creamy looking shampoos as opposed to clear ones as I find that they can sometimes leave my hair a little dry. The shampoo has a really nice smell, it is fresh and would be suited to both sexes. After rinsing my hair it felt really conditioned already, I did use the conditioner too as recommended but only needed to put it on the ends of my hair.

After using this my hair felt really soft and managable. It was easy to comb and style and it looked really shiny and healthy, my hair felt really clean too. I noticed that my hair didn't go greasy the next day as some shampoos have made it in the past. I had forgotten how much I liked this shampoo so was glad to rediscover it! I would give it 5 out of 5.
