Advantages: Smells nice; Cleans my hair wicked; Helps the blonde colour look fresh

Disadvantages: None

When I had my hair bleached the hairdresser tried to talk me into buying a bottle of shampoo for £14.00 that would help the colour stay in my hair better. My mum is pretty wide about stuff like that though and said she'd find me something cheaper and I didn't need to spend that sort of money on shampoo.

The next day she got me a bottle of L'Oreal Elvive shampoo that has been made especially for people with highlighted or blonde hair. It's wicked shampoo and I will carry on using it with the matching conditioner because they is brill too and my hair still looks as good as when it was first dyed.

The shampoo is a thick yellow colour and is creamy so massages through my hair dead easy. It lathers up into a thick head of bubbles and is easy to rinse out as well without leaving my hair feeling sticky or full of product.

Even without using the conditioner this shampoo leaves my hair feeling proper soft and there are hardly any tangles in it after I've washed it. It smells lovely and fresh and is a bit perfumed but smells proper natural I reckon.

I don't know how well it helps the blonde stay in my hair but all I know is that my colour hasn't gone brassy or faded yet and even though I had quite bright highlights underneath my hair they still look fresh and dead shiny.

My whole head of hair looks shiny after I've used this shampoo and I know a lot of people don't like the Elvive range but I think it's brill. It leaves my hair looking and feeling dead clean and that lasts a lot longer than other shampoos even though my hair does get a bit greasy sometimes towards the end of the day. It's also brill for removing any residew of the hair spray or gel I use in my hair everyday and it doesn't take much rubbing to get it all out.

It costs about £3.00 a bottle and that is a bit expensive but is loads cheaper than the shampoo the hairdresser was trying to sell me.

Summary: I Recommend This Shampoo If You Have Coloured Blonde Or Highlighted Hair
