... shampoo as I do with many others and lathered it into my hair. I didn't feel like it lathered very well and the product was quite gloopy. Once rinsed out, I put in a small amount of conditioner into the ends of my hair and rinsed out as normal. So I dried and straightened my hair as normal The result? It felt like I had lots of product in my hair. My roots felt like they were stuck to my scalp... not a good look. My hair also looked incredibly greasy and it was quite impossible to straighten my hair. It really didn't...more

I buy all my own toiletries, apart from shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste, I live at home you see so I use whatever turns up in the bathroom! My mum goes to the supermarket once a week and usually buys the buy one get one free offers or something similar. We've had some rather unusual choices like bottles of shampoo for curly, blonde or pink hair (no one in my house possesses that by the way lol) She just picks up a branded product on the cheap. Its an interesting experience to say the least and saying that I've tried so much stuff over the years I probably review every shampoo on the market. We've used elvive products before of course ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oreal - "Not Worth It" (346 words)

I am always one for trying out new products, whether it is for my hair, face, skin etc. I dye my hair quite often and wash / blow-dry and straighten my hair every day so you can imagine how dry and frazzled my hair can get. I don't have frizzy hair, but thought this shampoo would help keep the slight frizz I do sometimes get at the end of my hair slightly under control. I bought the shampoo and condition together as it was on special offer in Asda. So I tried the product, used the same amount of shampoo as I do with many others and lathered it into my hair. I didn't feel like it lathered very well and the product was quite gloopy. Once rinsed out, I put in a small ...  Read the complete review

I’m the advertising agents’ best friend. I fall for the hype. When a new product comes on the market I am often sceptical UNTIL I see an advert for it. It is on this moment that my mind gets warped and twisted. My eyes start to glaze over, I start dribbling and I start reciting “must buy, must buy”. Ok, so maybe I exaggerated just a little bit but you get the picture! You see I trust adverts. If someone came on during a commercial break and told me that a new hair shampoo had come on the market and it would transform hair for life after just one wash I’d believe them. Even though I know full well that’s just impossible ...  Read the complete review

My first use of this shampoo was a rather painful one! I’ve always had fairly dry, wavy hair until my discovery of this shampoo and conditioner and when I saw this shampoo and conditioner on offer in Boots, I had to give it a go! The bottle claimed: 'An innovation from L'Oreal hair care research, L'Oreal Elvive Nutri-ceramide Conditioner & shampoo's repair right to the tips. It offers a targeted and effective source of nourishing care for the hair, as well as part of an anti-breakage programme proven under the utmost conditions of blow drying'. 'Proven results - Nourished and repaired right to the tips, your hair is shiny ...  Read the complete review

I've always been a huge L'Oreal fan, but as biased as I am - this really is the best shampoo/conditioner system you can buy. Forget those expencive, fancy 'designer' bottles of shampoo that cost £10+ all you need is a £2.50 bottle of L'Oreal Elvive Anti Breakage shampoo & conditioner. (£2.50 each.) Apparently, they tell us they have prooven results of 'Up to 60% less breakage from brushing' So did they keep their guarantee's? ...Well, I think they did! Okay, picture this! Before using this shampoo, I was using anything which was on offer! Whatever was the cheapest - I'd have it, you see my hair was below ...  Read the complete review
