Pearls for hair? Yes apparently they make your hair go all soft and shiny. This is one of the Loreal products that I tried some time ago and I have not rushed to buy it since!

You can buy a 200ml bottle for around three pounds fifty from all larger supermarkets. This is not one the most popular of the shampoos so don't always expect to see it stocked. You can identify the bottle from the lovely pink plastic case! It is one of the campest looking bottles that you will see!

Pour at the flip top lid and you be greeted by a nice goeey looking shampoo that looks better than it performs. There is no real smell to this, you wish it might taste of strawberries judging from the look of the bottle though. When I used it, it felt really good as I worked it through the hair. The hair fibres felt instantly smoother and sleeker and the shampoo was lightweight and airy. So far so good!

After the wash and blow dry, the results were less than impressive. While the shampoo had delivered a nice cleanse at wet stage, any life had left the hair and all that was left was a rather sorrowful looking head of hair, clammering for some energy and volume. The hair was cleaned, the hair did feel quite soft, but it just lacked any presence. The power of pearls in this did not suit my hair at all and the nutri gloss formula did nothing except provide a faint coating of make believe shine. As a result, I have not bought this shampoo again, which is pity, as I favour a lot of Loreal products.

It will leave hair soft, but it will also leave it lacking energy, so not one to use on a daily basis.
