Advantages: Nourishes hair without weighing it down- leaves hair feeling silky, soft

Disadvantages: The gorgeous smell doesn't last all day in my hair

I recently discovered this new product from L'oreal Elvive. To be honest I initially only bought it as the gorgeous smell reminded me of suntan lotion and beach holidays and I didn't really think it would be very effective at the low price of around £3.50 at Tesco.

I was pleasantly surprised at how well the product performed. I have blonde, sometimes coarse feeling hair which was instantly transformed into a softer, sleeker texture. It claims that hair feels light and flowing on application and I can vouch for this. I'm not sure the effects last all day, but it's handy for hot and humid days when my hair is usually unmanageable as it always calms my flyaway, frizzy hair.

The product is a 'nourishing day fluid' which can be applied on wet or dry hair although I have found the results are more noticeable when applied as a finishing product after styling in the morning.

It is designed for dry or dried out hair and has a non-greasy, light texture with no need to rinse after application. The treatment contains Royal Jelly which nourishes the hair without weighing it down.

I have already recommended this product to my friends!
