... again during the day." These were quite impressive claims for what is a cheaper product in my opinion. ***Price*** For Dooyoo purposes I have checked with the mother and she pays £2.49 from Sainsbury's for a 400ml bottle of this shampoo. In comparison to other shampoos on the market this is averagely priced however they are more effective better value products on the market in my opinion. ***Application*** The directions for use on the bottle are very simple: Lather and then rinse thoroughly. After taking a shower at the parents house quite recently after getting soaked in the rain on the way home from work (typically on one of the only days this year I decided to take the bus home from work rather than take the car) I had to wash my hair using one of my mothers hair care products. After reading a number of shampoo bottles I opted for L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Shampoo as from the packaging it seemed to be the most impressive .......... ***Packaging*** The product comes in a bright orange plastic bottle with a plastic flip top lid. The bottle is quite bulky and the lid is quite flimsy so this is probably not one of the best ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Not just for unmanageable hair! (941 words)

We act as a host family for visiting foreign students. Invariably when they return home, they have far more to pack than they arrived with - especially if they have been staying with us for some time. That means, that in order to avoid the costly excess luggage charges, they often end up leaving quite a bit of stuff behind - although one student flew his brother over to carry a whole load of extra luggage back to Norway! The first thing to be left behind is generally toiletries - they can be easily replaced when they get back home, and they are not expensive items that they will be upset to have to spend on again.....so every few weeks, we find ourselves ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Shampoo: Smoothness & Softness (883 words)

If you read my other hair care reviews you already know that my hair and I is a combination that doesn't work together very well. My hair is a disaster, so curly and thick that it is a nightmare for every hairdresser. I have to wash it every day and accordingly blow dry it every single morning. I normally buy everything that promises 'smoother hair' or 'anti-frizz' in the hope to find something that can finally tame it. The L'Oreal Elvive range was always one of my favourites and after experimenting with a cheaper product and failing I'll only buy the Elvive products from now on. Normally I buy the 'Damage Care' range but now I found the new ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Hey my Shines good, But her shines better! (313 words)

In my household it's generally very traditional, I go out to work and I rely on my wife to go out and shop for the general needs. However when it comes to shampoo and soaps .etc. We tend to argue over which type we should get. I have always been a big supporter of brands such as lynx and adidas, whereas she enjoys 'herbal essesences' and Loreal. Now after our latest race around the shop she 'emerged victourious' and got a botte of the new Loreal Elvive Smooth Intense 2 in 1. The principles works the same with this bottle as with any 2 in 1, it is a shampoo but it also conditions your hair. This paticular model I found was much better than any ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Shampoo (168 words)

I have very fine hair which is prone to heat and styling damage, often looks in bad condition, and which is generally very fine and limp. I bought this shampoo, along with the L'Oreal Elvive Smooth Intense Conditioner, and have been using it now for around a week. I can appreciate that for thicker hair, this would be a really good and useful product. However, I have found that the 'anti frizz' and smoothing formula of the shampoo makes my fine hair almost too smooth, which leads to it becoming limp and really difficult to manage - almost flyaway. However, I must admit that with a little bit of mousse or serum, my hair does regain its body and bounce whilst still ...  Read the complete review
