Advantages: Leaves hair smooth and glossy, good value.

Disadvantages: A little thin.

For quite a while now I've been on the lookout for the perfect conditioner as my hair is long and curly and often, after washing it can become a bit frizzy. I've tried a few different products for varying prices and varying results, nothing which has made me stop looking for an alternative though. L'Oreal Elvive Anti- Frizz Conditioner is something I picked up whilst in Boots, I had some advantage card points to spend as with no real need for any luxuries I decided to buy something I needed instead without it mattering if it was any good too much. The price was just under £4 for a 400ml bottle which isn't a bad price when compared to the other conditioners I've used. I can't say I've particularly noticed this in any other shops but I should imagine it's available in places like Superdrug and BodyCare.

The packaging certainly stands out on the shelves, and makes me wonder why I never noticed it before. The bottle is bright orange with the L'Oreal Elvive logo, the bottle sits upside down on the lid which is a simple hole through which the conditioner is squeezed out. The bottle would usually end up upside down in my shower anyway so L'Oreal giving it a flat bottom makes this a lot easier and is a really good idea, especially when it comes to the end of the bottle as it means all of the conditioner can easily be gotten out of the bottle.

On dispensing the conditioner I found it to be quite runny, this combined with the upside down bottle means that it's easy for the liquid to pour out and be wasted, washed down the plug. It's recommended that to use this conditioner you wash your hair with shampoo and towel dry it before massaging into your scalp then leaving it for 1 minute and rinsing it out thoroughly. I followed these instructions and found the conditioner was easy to massage into my scalp and I didn't really need to use that much making it even better value. I let my hair dry naturally and I was impressed with the results, my hair was still curly and had volume but no frizz and felt really smooth. Not only that, my hair looked really glossy, in great condition and just overall a lot better than it did before.

As you can probably tell from my review I couldn't recommend L'Oreal Elvive Anti- Frizz conditioner more. It really does the job and is great value. Okay it's a little bit thin coming out of the bottle but with a little care spillages can be avoided and as the product is well priced anyway I aren't going to be marking the conditioner down for this. My bottle has lasted me ages so far and for £4 I'm really happy, I usually pay much more for conditioner which only lasts me a few uses. I would recommend this to anyone trying to combat frizz.

Summary: 5/5 one little gripe but overall it's top marks from me.
