When L'Oreal introduced a new range of shampoos and conditioners called Elvive the 'Colour Protect' range really caught my eye as they seemed heaven sent at the time, having just changed my shade from Brunette to Auburn but was struggling to keep my hair's vibrant colour for very long as I washed my hair every day, and still do... 'Elvive Protecting Conditioner' is packaged in a deep rich red bottle which is quite eye-catching and looks rather expensive and at around the £3.29 mark for 400ml it can be, but is often found on special offer which is when I usually stock up. Sold in a more compact 200ml container as well, I prefer the larger size as I ... Read the complete review

I have very long, thick hair, and I colour it, straighten it, and generally abuse it quite a bit, so I need a good conditioner to sort it out! I bought this along with the matching shampoo, which I have already written a review about. The main motivation behind the purchase was a buy one get one free offer, but it also appealed to me that this conditioner has a colour protect formula, as anything that will prolong the length of my colour has to be a good thing, and will also save me money in the long run if I have to dye it less often. This conditioner like the shampoo contains a UV filter. This means that your hair is protected from the suns rays which can ... Read the complete review

Well, I wrote about the L'Oreal Colour Protect UV Filter Shampoo (also known as Revitalising) a few opinions back so I think it is probably about time I gave the same treatment to the matching conditioner having had time to "test" it a few more times. Hair conditioner is very important for me as my hair has been bleached, dyed and tortured for the last 23 years so I guess I should give it a bit of a treat each time it is washed to discourage it from rebelling against me. The search for the ultimate conditioner is a long and arduous one and I have to admit that although I have found several good ones THE ultimate one has yet to find me. The ... Reasons for buying the product. As you get older, and vanity to a certain degree dictates that you colour your hair, you have to think about the condition of your hair, especially when using colourants that are harsh on nature, and most are, and I wanted to see that shine of youth in my hair as well as colour. Many of the dying products give you a small sachet of conditioner that makes it feel soft and glowy after the initial dye, although after several washes with ordinary shampoo, my hair was dull and lifeless. The product promised colour protection, which to me is a good thing, because after a while, colours fade and even redden a little on ... Read the complete review

Like shampoo, I've always changed conditioners over the years to try and find a good one. Conditioner is super important for me as my hair is rather dry, and when I started to dye it it became even more so! I had tried L'Oreal conditioners before, so I decided to give this one a try when I was looking for a good conditioner to use on my newly-coloured hair. The bottle is an eye-catching bright red, with the same basic shape and design as all L'Oreal conditioners. The conditioner is available in two sizes, 250ml and 400ml. As with the shampoo, it is priced just over £3 however I tend to wait until I find a special offer (BOGOF, buy 2 for £3) and stock ... Read the complete review
