Advantages: Protects my hair!

Disadvantages: None!

My hair is getting really damaged by the fact I straighten it every day and colour is with a strong dye regularly so I needed something to help protect the hair itself and stop the colour from fading...

One of the products in our bathroom is L'Oreal Elvive Colour Protect shampoo and it's designed to protect hair like mine that's coloured purple, lol!

The bottle I am reviewing is the 400ml size and it cost £4 for this and the same size conditioner on offer. Elvive do a 200ml size also in these hair care products.

Bright red in colour and with a flip top lid, this shampoo has a write up stating it is designed to prolong and accentuate 'colour radiance' with a 'light reflecting system' with UV filter protection built into the formula itself.

What this basically means it the use of this shampoo helps my colour last longer and it also works on highlighted hair.

On the back of the bottle which can be recycled, there is loads of information written in white telling the user how it works and how we damage our hair by frequent washing and also that the sun and pollution has a bad effect on our locks...

L'Oreal say they are the world's No1 in colour care for hair and have built in a active nourishing ingredient and filters that helps transform the surface of the hair to make to feel silkier, plus it is absorbed by the hair's fibres to help protect it from within form external damage.

The main thing for me is better condition for my hair's deep colour and to prolong the life of my purple shade...

It is normal shampoo so it is just a case of wash and rinse then use their conditioner.

The shampoo itself is white and medium thickness and smells lovely, quite fruity and flowery and expensive.

It works into a nice lather and leaves the hair feeling clean and softer, but mine is pretty dry so I always condition it when I wash it everyday.

I would say the condition of my hair has improved when I've use this stuff and it definitely seems to make a difference to how long my colour looks good. It does help my hair stay shiny as well which is what I want.

I think this is brilliant value for money when on offer; the normal price is around £3.39 otherwise.

Five stars from me, I love it!

Summary: Briiliant hair care product :)
