L'Oreal "Lash Clog" - No one's worth it (L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara)

When it comes to make-up I am most definitely a MAC girl (geddit, no my name refers to my computer). Anyway, the only time I venture into other brands is for mascara, as I've often found MAC ones not that great for the extra expense.

So when my previous Max Factor mascara had finished I saw the
L'Oreal Extra Volume Collagen Mascara, advertised by Eva Longoria - My favourite Desperate Housewife - and I was sucked in (by the offer price).

The chunky packaging looks impressive enough, though the wand is a bit short. The first impression of the quality of this product is the thick custard-like "slurp" sound as you extract the wand. By the time it gets on your lashes it's getting to the consistency of MUD.

Not to put too fine a point on it, this is the worst mascara I've ever used. No, it's the worst piece of make-up I've ever used - I'm sure you get better with a Girl's World! (for those old enough to remember).

I inadvertently chose the waterproof version - guess what? Yep, it's not waterproof! Well not when you need it to be; ie - crying or in the swimming pool (yes I like to be glam at all times!). Yet when you come to take it off - it sticks hard and can't be removed for love nor money. I resorted to pulling it off with my nails - delightful.

Perhaps I'm being harsh. But then I'm thinking, maybe only Jodie Harsh (Drag Queen extraordinaire) might actually use this. For those who actually like their lashes morphing into 4 fat lashes per eye - then this could be the product for you!
Perhaps that's where the "Collegene" comes in - the "Volume" occurs by gluing all the lashes together - genius!
Don't buy it.
