... booster. This is basically a concentrated pigment which you add to the mixture when preparing. Loreal claims this adds vibrant colour and will give a multi-faceted result. Remember to check the box before buying as I have had o go back several times to the shop as there was no colour booster inside. As for ease of use the feria colour is straight forward - you have your easy to follow instructions and gloves, and make sure to do the allergy test first just in case. I found the smell of the dye to be average. The dye ...more

Yes folks in her quest for the reddest hair of them all, the Mack has tried another hair dye for your pleasure. Whether or not it'll be her pleasure after all this is anyone's guess. As my last dyeing session was less than satisfactory and very time consuming, I decided to speed things up with one of my old faithfuls. Feria has lots of lovely red shades to choose from, and has recently extended their range with even more varieties of colour. So today we have number 74, Copper Shimmer. It is a permanent gel colourant and there are also blonde and brunette shades in this range, so something for everyone. * What's in the box, Mack? ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Colour Booooost? What on earth is that? (1407 words)

Having an ever changing hair colour I often get sucked in by all the new dyes out there on the market. Having used Feria colour before and been very impressed with it, I was intrigued by the new "Colour Boost Technology" packs they have just released. So of I toddled to Boots to purchase said product. First of all the really red (pillarbox red) colour that Milla Jojovich has on her locks in the advert doesn't exist - yes all us wannabe pillarbox fake red heads have experienced this problem before with other hair dyes claiming to be pillarbox redness on adverts etc. Then turning out to be colours being "made up" in the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Feria Colour: Pure Scarlet Power (No, really!) (632 words)

It has to be said that I have had pretty much every hair colour going. I have done all sorts to my hair in the name of getting the exact shade I want, whether it was using fabric dye and liquid food colouring in my punk days, (as well as all the glue I used to put in it!) or using the more natural 'Directions' dye in more recent years. However, I got fed up of all the rigmarole and decided to once and for all, try and find a decent, straighforward boxed dye. I tried a few different makes initially-Schwarzkopf (nothing like the colour on the box) Recital (dull) Live Colour XXL (faded too quickly, so turned orange)...and then my eyes met with a box ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review 3D Glasses Not Provided! (734 words)

My natural hair colour is dark brown but I have been lightening my hair since I was 12 after school bullies made comparisons between me and Wednesday Adams! I have used all makes of bleach products for a 'streaky' effect and also use a blend of colours to lighten or darken strands of hair to make my colour look more natural. This was the latest colour I tried: L'oreal Paris Feria Colour 3D. This product is a permanant gel colourant which means it will not wash out and will only grow out. I used the shade Caramel Kiss ( Dark Iridescent Blonde) or Shade 72. This shade looks very bright and summery. The final colour result really depends on your original hair ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Feria Colour: Better than Ever! (825 words)

As someone who has dyed their hair for 11 years since the age of 12 I am always on the look out for a new product that promises great end results. I have been using the L’Oreal Recital Les Noirs Richesse in Black/blue or Black/purple and was happy with that until I had the urge to be more daring and have a change of colour. So, whilst in Superdrug I spotted the sign that said: NEW and on the shelf below it was: L’Oreal Feria Color Booster technology! As it was a new product I just had to try it (as you do!) The Product: I got colour P48 Pure Purple Power (intense violet). It still has all the things that normal Feria color has but with a new ...  Read the complete review
