Advantages: easy to use, can't go wrong

Disadvantages: none

I use this colour to touch up my roots and used to use it for my whole head when I was a redhead... anyway, all round pretty good stuff for store bought colour!
My hairdresser uses Redken Professional colour on me now so can't really compare as you do get different and way better and more accurate results with salon products. However, for a product you can buy in the shop and use yourself at home, its very good.

You do need to stick to the colours closest to your hair and not exceed 2 to max 3 shades, unless you are willing to bleach. Unless you're an expert, I wouldn't really recommend bleaching at home either as it is so easy to get wrong.
All in all, the instructions that come with this product are pretty easy to follow and you can achieve some cool and vibrant colour results. For the more simple colour jobs, this will defiantly do the trick but more intricate colours will need to be done at a salon. Compared to other home colouring shampoo's this one is very nice, permanent and stays vibrant for about 3 to 6 weeks, depending on the condition of your hair and how often you wash it.

Summary: good DIY colour
