Advantages: Smells great, No more tears, No more knots(?)

Disadvantages: Smells TOO good, kids may try to eat it, May be allergic to some

Seeing as I?m a child stuck in an adult?s body, I like nothing more than to slather fruity gunk all over my head and treat the shampoo bottle like a microphone in the shower.

It?s hard to find a shampoo that I like as my family at home were constantly buying different brands week in, week out, but when I moved away to go to uni, I had the task of fending for myself and I came across L?Oréal Kids shampoo.

It?s so tasty! Well, not tasty per se, but they all smell just as they are described on the bottle.

The brand I use is the Burst of Cherry-Almond and comes in an easy to hold soft, squishy red bottle with an orange cap. Burst of Cherry-Almond is formulated with extra conditioning treatment and smells great! My sister was recently visiting and neglected to bring any shampoo with her and after using mine, went out and bought it the next day. I find that this particular ?flavour? is great for Asian type hair as it gives it more volume and shine and makes your head smell delicious. There I go again, making food references to my own head, I guess it?s lucky I?m not using the pineapple one as that would be more apt with my hairstyle!

L?Oréal Kids shampoo is available in several different types suited for different hair varieties.

The blue bottle (Splash of Sunny Orange Swim Shampoo) is infused with an orange smell (duh) that is formulated to wash away the smell of sea water and chlorine and also the 2 in 1 extra mild conditioning powers help to replace lost minerals that can be damaged by impurities whilst swimming.

Burst of Tropical Fruit (for normal hair) comes in an orange bottle and is pretty self explanatory.

Burst of Banana-Melon for fine hair comes in a yellowy bottle, whereas the Burst of Watermelon is for thick, wavy
or curly hair and comes in a green bottle.

Finally, there?s the one that I like to use the most, the Burst of Cherry-Almond. Although the smell of the shampoo itself is quite strong, when used on your hair, it smells quite subtle and is really only noticeable when someone sniffs your head like a cantaloupe.

The ?No tears, no knots? promise stays true to its word as no irritation is caused to the eyes if any lather gets in them. Great stuff! That?s not to say that you shouldn?t rinse it out though if it DOES get into their eyes. I actually don?t know about the ?no knots? bit of the promise as I have short hair so please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know if you have a child with long hair how uses this, or even, if YOU use this and have long hair!

There is also a fast-dry shampoo by L?Oréal Kids called Burst of Pineapple Flash, however, I can?t use this as I am allergic to it, even though the bottle states that it has an ?extra gentle? formula, thus why this product does not score 5/5. It states on the back that it has been tested under ophthalmologist control (whatever that means, sounds confusing) but it brought me out in a rash on my face for two weeks, even after I stopped using it. However, it only seemed to affect the left side of my face so perhaps that?s extra sensitive, I don?t? know. So be warned.

Another warning I feel I should include may seem silly, but it?s worth mentioning. It states on the bottle ?caution ? do not swallow?, which may seem like common sense, but young users may try to eat this stuff as it smells like the real thing. Seriously. So keep an eye on the young ?uns when they wash their hair. If they do swallow it, do not induce vomiting but make them drink lots of milk and take both them and the bottle to the doctor surgery A
3;AP.

L?Oréal Kids also do other products too such as gel, conditioner and tangle tamer. The shampoo comes in one size, but is small enough to take away on holiday too as it comes in a handy 250ml bottle for about £1.70 (depending on where you buy it).

I love this stuff! I'm a big kid and use the Pineapple Flash stuff! Never too old to use kids' shampoo, that's what I say!
