Advantages: No tears
Disadvantages: none as yet
Does anyone else out there dread washing your young children’s hair. The tantrums can be pretty out of this world, moaning that waters got in their eyes and now the shampoo is making them sting and so on. Well worry no longer I am writing this opinion about a lovely smelling shampoo I have come across that could make bathtimes more fun and I have also added a few of my bathroom super hints as an added extra for you all. ** The Product:- Loreal Kids 2-1 Extra Gentle Shampoo ** Whilst hunting around the supermarket recently I decided to put a lot of thought into buying a shampoo for the children, I wanted a no tears, nice smell and an interesting container for them to fight over. I think I found it in the way of Loreal Kids 2-1 shampoo. There were a few varieties to choose from and the one that got my final vote was the Banana and Melon flavour. The bottle states that it’s so gently that its tear free and has been tested under ophthalmologist control. If that makes you feel any better about the product!! They claim that the special design shape of the bottle makes it easier to hold. It is an unusual shape, however I did not notice the difference it made whilst holding that bottle to any other. Now lets see if it passes the all-important children in the bath test. Once bath time was upon us I broke it gently to the children that it was in fact hair-washing day. After wails and screams and struggling to get out of the bath I showed them the new shampoo bottle. I have always washed their hair with children’s shampoo but they still complained that their eyes were sore. Armed with my new found product I showed Luke who is four the new shaped bottle which comes complete with a blue lid and yellow in colour bottle with a picture of an eye in the centre, rather like Cyclops. Luckily he found this quite different, so I then took it a stage further and let him pop open the flip top lid and have a smell for himse
lf. We had a guessing game as to who could name the smell of the shampoo and after going through several other fruits he finally guessed. With a flannel over his eyes I finally applied some shampoo on to his hair. The shampoo is clear and the consistency of runny honey. It lathered up really well and the aromas were wafting from his scalp. To make it more entertaining for Luke I decided to make his hair into different hairstyles and let him have a mirror to admire his beauty with!! He was impressed and after several minutes of pampering I was able to wash the shampoo off. Charlotte my nearly two-year old was also impressed by the smell and was then happy for me to apply the shampoo to her hair. So my overall opinion on the product is that it’s a good smell, lathered well and there is certainly no tears at bathtime now.

- 12/12/01 Gawd Karen our kids must be twins or something I have to bribe mine to wash their hair too and I laughed at hair washing day. I'm going to try this as I have tried everything to ease hairwashing in our house. |
