I am a huge fan of L'Oreal shampoos and that includes their range for children. My son has very fine hair that is often dry. He swims often and the chemicals in the swimming pool do little to help the condition of his hair. Like most children washing his hair is not high on his list of fun things to do! However he does like the special L'Oreal range of fruity kid's shampoos and this does help persuade him that washing his hair is essential!

I usually buy the cherry shampoo as I love the scent and the red bottle looks pretty cool too! Recently Tesco had these shampoos on a buy one get one free offer, so I decided to buy the strawberry smoothie 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. I did have a few reservations about my purchase as the strawberry shampoo comes in a dark pink plastic bottle with red top and I thought my son might think it looked a bit girly! However he didn't seem to notice luckily! The bottle has an interesting funky shape with an eye at the top. The bottle has a flip top lid that I find really awkward top open. However on the positive side this makes it very difficult for a child to open when you are not looking!

The shampoo is of the 2 in 1 variety, meaning it conditions too! This makes the process of hair washing quicker and suits my son well! The shampoo is very thick with a slight pink tinge. The scent is very strong and very fruity. The strawberry scent was easily identifiable as strawberry so full marks here! The shampoo lathers well and I find you really only need a little. I like to wash my son's hair in the bath and use the shower attachment to rinse. The shampoo rinses out well leaving the lovely strawberry smell.

After washing and drying this shampoo leaves my sons hair in lovely condition. It also feels soft and looks clean and shiny. As he has fine hair it is prone to tangle and using this shampoo seems to help reduce knots just as it says it will.

I paid £1.87 for 2 250 ml bottles of this shampoo on a buy one get one free offer. I would highly recommend this if you have children; it is every bit as good as the other L'Oreal products I have tried!
