Advantages: Leaves hair soft and shiny, great price
Disadvantages: Not fruity, no help at bedtime
If you have read any of my other L'Oreal kids reviews you will know that I found them on offer at Asda at £1 a 250ml bottle rather than £2 and as I was currently looking for a replacement for my daughters usual Avon shampoo I decided to try a few of them. My daughter is very good when it comes to bedtime and she will go to bed without a fuss even when she is not tired and you often hear her singing to herself an hour or so later, the problem comes the next morning when I have to drag her out of bed for school and so I thought this shampoo might be a good idea.
The shampoo has a 2 in 1 formula and comes packaged in a nice lilac coloured bottle with a white top, if you turn the bottle on its side it is supposed to be the shape of a fish with the top being the nose/mouth area. There is a circle for an eye surrounded in dark blue and 6 scales which are semi circles in purple fading through to white. The bottle is attractive and the four that we bought lined up together really brightened up our bathroom shelf. On the front you find out that this is a no tears and no knots formula and is also for bedtime soothing, of course this is lavender scented although I don't think it smells very strongly of lavender as I don't like the smell of lavender and this is actually quite pleasant.
I found the top of this bottle was quite stiff to open for the first few washes but as none of the other bottles had been I presume I had just picked a bit of a dodgy bottle. The shampoo is a pearly white in colour and I only need to use a blob about the size of a 50p piece for my daughter's hair which is very long and thick as it lathers up really well. The shampoo is easy to rinse out of her hair aswell which is great as with some I find I have to run fresh water to get it fully rinsed hence using more water but three jugs and this is rinsed.
I would say this is my least favourite of the range, my daughters hair is left soft, shiny and tangle free although we do still need the tangle tamer the following morning. I don't like that this one doesn't have a fruity smell like the others in the range and it certainly did not help her get to sleep any easier at all so the lavender effect did not work on her at all. I will be buying this range again just not this particular one and will certainly watch out for them on offer at £1 again then it will be stock up time.
Summary: My least favourite of the range
