Advantages: Does get rid of most of your make-up (but only on repeat procedures)

Disadvantages: Seems more of a cleanser than a cleanser and toner, quite expensive for what it is

I received a sample of this in a magazine and was intrigued enough to buy myself a bottle. As this is a 2-in-1 make-up remover, it appealed as it could save time and effort - both of which I am lacking at the moment.

***The Product***
At first, the make-up remover is supposed to be "milk" before it turns into toner after being massaged onto your skin. How does this really work in practice? It wasn't actually what I was expecting, to be honest. For "milk", I was expecting the make-up remover to be more runny but it was more like a typical cleanser in terms of consistency. Massaging it into my skin seemed to turn it a bit more runny, which I presume is supposed to be the toner part of it.

***The Results***
The make-up remover appeared to remove the bulk of my foundation, powder and blusher but I wasn't keen on using this anywhere near my eyes so I had to use a separate eye make-up remover for getting rid of my eye make-up. Although my skin looked clean enough, it didn't feel fully cleansed and I felt the need to go back and use it again. When I do so, more make-up came off on the cotton wool so it clearly doesn't get rid of all traces of make-up straight away. Because it becomes quite runny and you have to apply it with your fingers and rub it in, it is quite a messy way of removing your make-up despite the fact that you don't need to faff around with a separate cleanser and toner. I am used to putting some cleanser or toner (or both if it is a combined product) on some cotton wool and wiping it off again afterwards, so I did not really like the fact that this ran all down my fingers when I was rubbing it into my skin for the toner part.

It takes quite an effort to ensure that all of the make-up remover is properly removed after application, and I find that it makes my skin feel even greasier if this is not done properly. Although it is supposed to be a toner as well as a cleanser, I can't see any evidence of it toning up my pores as they look much the same as normal. For me, this feels more like a cleverly marketed cleanser rather than a combined product and I really doubt that I will bother buying this again.

***The Price***
At £5.86 for a 150ml bottle, I don't consider to be worth the expense. I have used much cheaper combined cleansers and toners and had better results than this (with far less messing about!) so I will be opting for one of those on my next stock-up trip to town.

Summary: I won't bother with this again
