... packaging really and smells pretty much like shampoo, I cant say it has a distinctive smell and I find it really hard to explain but I would say the scent is fairly strong but it does smell fresh, its not a bad smell. It lathers really well; I tend to need a good dollop as I have hair which is not far from my behind! It really feels like I am doing my hair good and its deep cleaning. I also feel that it's very conditioning. ****What it claims to do**** There are quite a few speciality shampoos and conditioners in th...more

Premium Review L'Oréal Elvive Anti-Breakage Nutri-Repair Shampoo: An average shampoo from L'Oreal (564 words)
by - written on 25/03/08 (Very useful, 304 readings)
Rating:

I subject my hair to all sorts of things that are bad for it, such of excessive use of heated appliances and styling products, and it is looking all the worse for it. When it comes to shampoo I am not completely bothered which brand I use, and usually just buy whichever one is on special offer. This was the case when I bought L'Oreal Elvive Anti-breakage shampoo. ~About the Shampoo~ This shampoo claims to help repair the hair on the inside and nourish on the outside. There is a lot of spiel and scientific stuff on the back of the bottle, backed up with diagrams. It basically claims that because it contains special ingredients - Omega 6 and Ceramide ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review So smooth and soft, you hardly need a conditioner (991 words)

Rating:

~ Introduction ~ I've been using L'Oreal Elvive (formerly called Elseve) shampoos and conditioners since my mid twenties possibly because they were so much advertised on TV and that even in the early days you could get at least a dozen varieties to choose from. I've got very fine, thin and straight hair that tends to fly if gets dry and gets limpy when oils develop on its surface and start weighing it down. I never coloured my hair and I'm quite happy with the shade of my hair now it being light-medium brown with enough natural shine that it never warranted a coloured hair or enhanced shine treatment, apart from these I just used whatever variety was available ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Elvive Anti-Breakage Nutri-Repair Shampoo: Thick and creamy (289 words)
by - written on 30/10/08 (Very useful, 240 readings)
Rating:

I have fine hair that is a bit unruly and tends to break easily especially in the winter. I have always used L'Oreal's Kerastase shampoo bought via my hairdresser. They are really expensive and in these days of the credit crunch I can no longer justify the expense. In my local Tesco recently I spotted L'Oreal L'elvive anti breakage shampoo and conditioner on offer at buy 2 for £3. This is considerably less than I pay for my usual shampoo so I decided to give both shampoo and conditioner a go. The shampoo comes in a rather attractive amber coloured plastic bottle. It has a bronze coloured flip top lid. The shampoo itself is very thick and creamy. I found it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Gorgeous Clean Shiny Locks! (485 words)

I have really long thick and unruly hair and need good products that are able to make my hair look sleek and to not make my hair looks dull either. *** The Packaging*** I really think the packaging looks good, its eye catching and I can recommend the brand, The downside to the packaging is when you are coming to the end of the bottle its annoying as you cant get everything out, and I am too lazy to get some scissors out to open it up to get every drop out, I do really like the way it stands up in the shower though. ***How it works*** Simply the same as any other shampoo, its really thick and feels really quite good quality, its ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Elvive Anti-Breakage Nutri-Repair Shampoo: it'll cure your hair (173 words)

Women always are looking for the perfect shampoo which of course doesn't exist (like the perfect man) but anyway they don't stop searching, they could have luck after all... For this reason I always change the shampoo because I want to try new products but L'oreal elvive anti breakage nutri-repair isn't new as you all know. As matter of fact I've been using it for longtime. It's very good for my weak hair which always get ruined by dye ( I have a lot of grey hair..), this shampoo is creamy and thick and its smell is wonderful, you need little of it because it foams a lot. It washes off well leaving my hair very clean and very smooth and soft. My ...  Read the complete review
