I have fine hair that is a bit unruly and tends to break easily especially in the winter. I have always used L'Oreal's Kerastase shampoo bought via my hairdresser. They are really expensive and in these days of the credit crunch I can no longer justify the expense. In my local Tesco recently I spotted L'Oreal L'elvive anti breakage shampoo and conditioner on offer at buy 2 for £3. This is considerably less than I pay for my usual shampoo so I decided to give both shampoo and conditioner a go.

The shampoo comes in a rather attractive amber coloured plastic bottle. It has a bronze coloured flip top lid. The shampoo itself is very thick and creamy. I found it easy to pour and it lathered well.

I used one application and then rinsed and conditioned using the L'Oreal anti breakage conditioner. I have to say at this point I wasn't expecting great results! However as soon as I washed the conditioner off my hair felt very smooth.

On reading the bottle L'Oreal claim that using this shampoo will reduce breakage by up to 95% when compared with other shampoos. So what do I think?

I love this shampoo! It smells wonderful is thick and creamy and gives really good results. When I dried my hair I was pleased with how soft and smooth it looked. The results have carried on being good too. I wash my hair every morning and this shampoo and conditioner have not stripped it of oils as far as I can tell.

L'Oreal make a range of shampoos for all types of hair and I am looking forward to giving some of the others a go!

Summary: shampoo from L'oreal
