I regularly alternate my brands of shampoos and conditioners, particularly as I read in a magazine many years ago, that continued use of a product will not provide effective results, as the hair becomes accustomed to the ingredients. Consequently, I make my purchases from just a few ranges where over the past twelve months or so I have bought a large number of shampoos and conditioners from L'Oreal and Dove. I find the brands the best when it comes to my hair type, which is thick, curly and shoulder length, but unfortunately, due to years of continued abuse with home colouring kits and heated appliances, it tends to be dry, particularly on the ends.
