I must start off by apologising for another mascara review, but I am rather fond of buying new makeup items, especially when they are on offer. As much as I love my Maybelline Great Lash mascara I suffer from the grass is greener syndrome, I am convinced there is a better product out there. I saw the advert on TV (the one with Penelope Cruz, which L'Oreal have now admitted that she was wearing false eyelashes for) and I was attracted to it because it was called clean definition, something that is important to me with a mascara. The next time I was in Boots (hardly a week goes by without a visit, this is what happens when you live next to a shopping centre) I was having a ... Read the complete review

My quest for a perfect mascara has admittedly been half-hearted. To be honest, I don't usually use one just because I've been blessed with such long eyelashes anyway that I don't find it totally necessary. Most tend to give such an extreme look that I look I'm wearing false eyelashes, which is not ideal for an everyday look! So I decided to treat myself to a new one I had heard a bit about and thought might suit my needs, and bought a tube of Loreal Telescopic Clean Definition. THEY SAY Loreal claim that it's high-precision flexible brush provides "telescopic length up to 50% longer" and "cleanly defined, perfectly separated ... Read the complete review

When my boyfriend returned from a fire-fighters weekend away in Amsterdam last week, the last thing I expected him to bring me home was make up - but that is exactly what he did - he picked up this L'Oreal mascara in duty free (as a last minute gift I'm betting!) As it is a duty free set, it was a bit of a bonus when I opened up the packaging. There was actually two mascaras I this pack. Both were black, but one came in a shiny silver tube, and the other in a sleek black one; one for night and one for day. I'll be reviewing "night" mascara on another review (Telescopic Carbon Black) Along with this, there was a black kohl eyeliner. ... Read the complete review

Mascara is one of those things that I find hard to get right - sometimes I feel like I'm always searching for the 'perfect' one, that will give me the long, defined lashes that I crave. I've tried out what seems like dozens of different ones, and I'm never 100% satisfied. The best one I had was a Lancome one but my husband bought me the waterproof version by mistake and, although the results were fantastic, the effort it took to get it off wasn't so great. Anyway, with the credit crunch biting, I decided that I needed to look around for something that did the job without costing me a fortune... I bought a very cheap Boots 17 one first (reviewed a few weeks ago) and have ... Read the complete review

This product had been recommended to me from a number of friends even my mum who is the hardest make up to critic was raving about it so I thought that I would give it a go. The packing is pretty standard for mascara. It's a thin tube which I like as it fits well in a make up bag, unlike some of the more bulky products. The wand is slightly angled and flexible. Being honest I felt that it was better for someone with shorter eye lashes and smaller eyes as I felt where it was angled just didn't fit with the shape of my eyes. The wand itself is also quite flimsy. I have quite long eye lashes and it made them look even longer but volume wise. The ... Read the complete review
