Advantages: Cheap, worked well and held the hair well

Disadvantages: A bit sticky and made my hair knotty

L'Oreal Paris Studio out of bed Fibre putty with long lasting messed up effect was on offer in my local boots two blue pots containing 150 ml each were £4. I was fresh from the hairdressers and not 100% happy with my haircut so I was searching for a product you use to stick my hair up for a week or so till the bits that were cut to short grew back.

I arrived home and opened the first tub the cream/putty is a nice clean white colour it smells like shampoo a bit chemically but overall a nice smell. I rubbed a bit of putty into my hands and fingertips then rubbed it through my hair and the tips of my hair to create a messy just out of bed look. I was not convinced the product was going to work, as my hair is quite thick and heavy. I did not use a lot of product to get a look I was happy with. So I set out for a day at work with my hair fully messed up! The putty did hold my hair well throughout the day I popped to the toilets a couple of times to check my look and tweak a few strands of hair. I was impressed that my hair has stayed where the putty was and I was amazed that when I re-tweaked it the hair went where I put it again.

At the end of the day, the putty had held my hair well into its place for over 12 hours. What I did not like though was them way it made my hair feels. My hair was a bit tacky to touch and the putty had made the hair stick together and get a bit knotty. I could not run my hands through my hair as it would have been too knotty but it did not look knotty in the mirror. I also disliked the putty on my hands it was very sticky and did not wash off every easily. When I re-tweaked at work it left my hands very sticky until I washed them with hot soapy water. This would be a pain if you touched your hair when you are out and about.

That evening I had a shower, which I was a bit concerned about I was not sure how well the product would wash out but it washed out with shampoo fine and my hair was back to normal.

Overall this is a good product for short hair it holds the hair well and is very good value. I did not like the feel of the product though.
