I don't know why but whenever I attempt to put lipstick on, I always end up looking like a 5 year old raiding her mum's makeup bag - it just doesn't suit me at all regardless of the colour. However having a full face of makeup and completely bare lips looks slightly odd and so I choose to wear lipgloss instead.

I have a bag full of pink lipglosses and almost all of them have left me slightly disappointed; either the colour isn't as it seemed, it's too sticky or lasts precisely twenty seconds after application...I'm a hard girl to please. Therefore when I spotted this little beauty in Boots that claimed to last 6 hours, I thought it was worth a try.

The lipgloss costs just less than £8 in Boots which is quite reasonable, especially if you buy it when they have one of their 3 for 2 offers on. You can also get it from Superdrug and other chemists, and some larger supermarkets also stock Loreal. There are about 10 colours to choose from, I personally went for shade 102 "Always Pink".

The gloss comes in a slim transparent tube with a twist lid, enabling you to see both the colour of the gloss, and how much is remaining in it. The wand to apply the lipgloss isn't your usually thin brush, but instead is shaped like a heart with the pointed sponge end making it really easy to apply, particularly around the cupids bow.

The gloss itself goes on nicely and leaves a nice glossy sheen to the lips. The colour I use is nothing overly dramatic but complements the natural pink of my lips and makes them far more glossy and appealing than they'd ever be alone. The gloss feels more like a lip balm than a lipgloss, it doesn't have that yucky sticky consistency that most have.

The taste is nothing to write home about, pleasant enough which is important considering I have a husband who wouldn't shy away from telling me my lipgloss taste horrible.

So does it last 6 hours? Well....no, but it is better than most. I can eat, drink and kiss and it will be still be there afterwards. It needs a touch up much less often than other lipglosses I've used so that can't be a bad thing.

All in all I good longer lasting gloss, at a decent price.

Advantages -

- Nice range of colours
- Nice shimmery effect
- Decent price
- Lasts longer than most lipglosses

Disadvantages -

- Doesn't last 6 hours.

Summary: I'm impressed

Definately worth a try if its not sticky, I hate the hair-stuck- to-the-lips effect when it gets windy!! x

Have you tried Lancome lip glosses? I love them...they're a little expensive but last a long time!
