As I have got that little bit older and entered the decade of change which is now coming to a close-the 40s- I have noticed that my needs in a foundation make up have changed from when I was a fresh faced 20 something. Then I would use make up just to make me look like I had some colour to my face, as being quite pale people used to say I looked ill! Now it is more a matter of hiding imperfections, marks, and a few developing craters. No- seriously I haven't got those, and luckily not too many lines either, as I have never smoked, but I do need something with a good coverage to give my skin a nice overall look. I used to use Bourjois make up, and ...  Read the complete review

Okay, so I had heard some really good things about this foundation and finding it really cheap I decided to give it a go. Firstly, I thought that the bottle was really tiny. It has a pump at the top and a nice big clear plastic cap to keep it clean, it's also in relatively attractive red colour. It has a see through glass bottle with a tacky sticker on the front claiming, "Long-lasting Perfecting Foundation". Well, The first time I ever used it I thought it was amazing. It did spread well and you don't have to use much, it gave good coverage too but made me look all one colour and washed out, so had to be used with a bronzer. I've been ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oreal Paris Infallible Foundation: Last 16 hours.... if you do nothing all day! (337 words)

I find it really difficult to find a good foundation as I have quite sensitive skin. Unfortunately this one wasn't for me as it still made me break out, but I thought I'd share my experience as it might be useful for some people! - Coverage - The foundation gives a very good matt coverage. The consistency is thick and smooth and it is very easy to apply to the skin. If you get the correct colour to match your skin it won't leave you with lines around the neck area as it does blend very nicely to the skin even with the thickness. - Claims - The claims are that the foundation will last for 16 hours. Well it definitely does ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Infallible claims completely fallible, actually. (628 words)

I have been wearing foundation, everyday, for at least ten years now. Back from my teenage years spending pocket money on collection 2000 gloop, right up to university, experimenting with anything under a fiver, to now, sampling the more 'elite' community in the foundation world - estee lauder, benefit etc. Through all my travels and experiences, the queen of all qualities I have been searching for in these foundations is make up which actually stays on your face. I truely don't understand why make up manufacturers find this so hard to acheive? You would think that in this day and age, such a wonder product would actually have been widely available. If it is, i've ...  Read the complete review

I first bought this foundation about 5 years ago (I guess) - and it was one of the first foundations I used. It was quite expensive, about £10 but I'd heard very good things about it. At first the foundations seemed really good because it was the first foundation that I had used and I had young fresh skin that did not need a lot of coverage. In the long run the foundation began to look greasy and did not work well with dry patches of skin or blemishes. It did not last 16 hours, it lasted about an hour MAX.
