L'Oréal Recital Preference ... colourant molecules penetrate the hair shaft and are locked in, providing better resistance to fading. Your hair holds onto its vibrancy and the colour you want stays truer, from roots to ends, even with repeated shampooing. This new formula actually conditions as it colours. Then the after colour care finishing cream, with its UV filter, helps protect the hair leaving it incredibly soft and shiny.

I've never had any problems with it despite suffering from eczema and dry skin. *Whats in the box?* Inside the box you will find a pair of plastic gloves to protect your skin, colourant gel, developer cream and high shine conditioner (enough for 6 washes). *How to apply* There are 3 methods you can use to dye your hair using this product. It is important you use the right one as it will result in the best colour. ...more

Premium Review L'Oréal Recital Preference: It's Worth It! (1267 words)

I have had experience with both brunette shades and blonde shades and i have found this product to be one of the best on the market....the nearest to a professional product you can get. My mum uses L'oreal Recital Preference and she is a hairdresser and has been for 25 years. Due to her expert knowledge of the market i have managed to gain an insight into the history of this particular brand also! History Basically, this permanent colour range is identical to one that L'oreal had available for professional use only under the name of Crescendo. The consistency and the bottle it is packaged in, is identical to Crescendo and she is 99% sure that it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ultra violet dark red! (1358 words)

I am writing this review, well the first part of it anyway, while waiting for my hair dye to develop. I have been using L'oreal Recital Preference shade number 3.66 for about 2 years now and I love it. The colour is described as 'dark red ultra violet'. What this means is your hair goes a rich dark reddy/purpley brown colour and when the sun hits it the colour shines red and looks really nice. I have naturally dark brown hair, which if I'm being honest has the odd grey. However this dye should not be used if you have a lot of grey as it will turn it bright pink. The same goes for blonds, this dye is not for you I'm afraid. The box says that this dye can be ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Recital Preference: Bright, Vibrant Colours (577 words)

This is my favourite hair colour and I have been using it on and off for about 3 years now. The past 18 months I have used nothing but this brand as I think its the best on the market. As you can see from the picture the box shows a picture of a model with hair the same colour as the shade you have chosen. The back of the box gives details of the colourant and shows what colour your hair will go (depending on the shade your hair already is). *Availabilty and Price* The colour comes in a variety of shades including browns, reds and blondes. They are available in a number of stores including chemists, Boots and Superdrug. The colour usually retails at ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Ultra Violet Hair Dye (719 words)
by - written on 15/07/09 (Very useful, 132 readings)
Rating:

Yes I admit it. I dye my hair (SHOCK!) Why? Because my natural brown hair just gets a bit boring after a while. The dye I use is L'Oreal Recital Preference number 2.16 Black Violet. Why? Because if I'm going to the bother of dying my hair, I want people to notice!! No-one has violet hair naturally The Process: Take everything out of the box. You should have a pair of gloves in a little tube. A bottle of stuff. A tiny tube of ultra violet dye. A tube of coloured stuff. A sheet of paper telling you what to do. And some high shine shampoo. Wet your hair and towel dry (dont shampoo it tho). Tip and squeeze the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review L'Oréal Recital Preference: My Vibrant Locks Are Worth It!!! (1245 words)

Before my dark brown days began I was once a golden blonde, but of course them black roots attacked more often than I wanted them to so I searched around for a colour that would be easy for me to apply myself and be as close to blonde as possible without being a tacky peroxide colour - believe me it looked tacky on me! Whilst browsing in Boots I came across L'oreal Recital Performance - it was the golden colour on the box which caught my eye and then I noticed the ladies hair on the front - a light brown golden healthy coloured hair - exactly what I wanted at the time. This particular colour was called 'Rimini - Lightest Brown'. I had to give it a ...  Read the complete review
