Advantages: Works whilst on the face

Disadvantages: Doesn't do anything remarkable for skin in the long term

One of the things I've always prided myself on is that I don't look my age! At 30 I was told very often I looked 21 and once or twice I even got asked for Id in clubs. However of late I feel I've dramatically aged. The main reasons for this of course is I am almost 35 lol but also I have had terrible health, lost a lot of weight recently and along with that my skin is a little dehydrated, gaunt and pale. I do try to look after my skin but there comes a time when you have to splash out and start buying a moisturiser that you really think may help your skin rather than buying whatever is on offer (how many of us on here are guilty of that??? lol).

Wrinkles...bain of my life. Deep set frown lines, laughter lines, expression line and bags all have set up permanent resident on my face. Don't get me wrong I haven't got a face like Mother Theresa yet but I'm certainly getting there. I'd love botox, but can't afford it neither can I afford to keep up the maintenance of it so I settled on purchasing this and I got it at a right bargain price. Usually this retails at about £15.65 a bottle but I got mine..wait for it... for £5.00 brand new and sealed on a local market. Loads of top brands were there at a fiver a throw and silly me never stocked up cos I didn't realise the savings I was making at the time lol. Oh well I know where the market is now anyway lol.

The Packaging....

White long box with a picture of the moisturising bottle on the front. In red, gold, white and grey writing I'm told it is L'Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Revitalift 'Deep Set Wrinkles' which is a 'Restoring Day Cream Anti-Wrinkle + Firming' and contains Pro - Retinol A + Fibro- Plastl and contains SPF15 UV Protection and is an intensive anti-wrinkle action treatment. On one side of the box ingredients are listed, I'm told what products this is best used with from within the L'Oreal range, contact details for L'Oreal are given, size is stated (50ml) the recycle symbol is displayed and there is a bar-code on there. On the other side of the box I'm told what to expect from using this product and there are a couple of photographs on there showing before and after using the product and I'm told it has been tested under Dermatological control. On the back of the box I' simply told all about the product. The bottle is interesting as it's clear plastic on the outside with like a red tube sat securely inside resembling a test tube. The white top/lid twists gently to the side to open and close. Again on the bottle I'm clearly told what it is and who it is by etc and it's quite plain and simple but sophisticated to look at and display.

A Bit About The Product According To The Box....

What Is A Deep Set Wrinkle?....

Over time and with repeated exposure to the sun's harmful UVA rays, wrinkles deepen, becoming more and more visible, and begin to mark the skin.

These wrinkles form as the fibrous supporting fabric of the skin weakens and deteriorates, as it is no longer so well maintained.

For the 1st time, the L'oreal laboratories have developed a specific anti-wrinkle formula combining Pro-Retinol A and Fibro-plastyl.

Pro-Retinol A, is a proven anti-wrinkle ingredient, is now combined with Fibro-Plastyl, to help reinforce the skin. The formula helps to restore moisture and reinforce the skin's surface structure. The skin appears rejuvenated and smoother, even deep-set wrinkles appear reduced and skin feels tangibly firmer.

SPF15 and UVA Protection - Contains Mexoryl XL to help provide advanced protection against the signs of skin ageing caused by sun sun's rays.

The new generation texture is easily absorbed into the skin with a nourishing yet light sensation.

My experience With The Lotion....

So all you do to use this is cleanse and tone thoroughly first and then your meant to apply it first thing in the morning.

I wasn't expecting to like this to be totally honest. I read a few online reviews about this product before I opened it up and started to use it and had thought maybe I'd actually wasted a fiver! However I didn't!

I really do like it but you do have to bear in mind other than getting a face lift or botox or something these creams are not miracle workers although they tell us they are!

I find a small amount of this slightly greasy, peachy coloured, smooth, glossy lotion is all I need to blend into my face. It has a very nice, delicate smell to it of what I think is a subtle blend of fruits and flowers and it absorbs reasonably quickly with no amount of massive rubbing required. It feels clammy to the touch (even though I only use a small amount) for a few minutes and does take time to completely sink in so bear this in mind if your a make up wearer.

The lotion feels good quality when applying it. When it is on the skin you can almost feel it softening it and when completely settled skin is left velvety smooth to the touch, radiant and no residue can be seen and you can get on with your day.... applying make up if you wish to as normal.

Effects....

This is a very nice every-day moisturiser. I have had no adverse effects to this and when in use it doesn't upset my sensitive eyes either which for me is a massive bonus. When on my face my skin takes on a matt appearance, pores seem reduced visually and lines definitely at least 60% softened and my face firmer and more uplifted! Yep I kid you not my frown lines in particular look a hell of a lot softer and what's more the results I achieve last all day long as well. My skin in general since using this has felt in better overall condition particularly visually as my complection looks smoother though I have to admit long term effects of using this I have not seen. I wouldn't say use this for a while and it's a cure for lines, but for me whilst it's on I do see the benefits and even feel my face is firmer in an unsticky and uncomfortable way.

Would I Recommend It?....

If you want and/or expect long term effects from this product no not really unless your happy enough to say skin is probably smoother and brighter only in the long term but if you expect this to eventually get rid of wrinkles and stop any new ones appearing..no I certainly wouldn't. You need a cosmetic surgeon and/or religion. However if you want an instant worker that really does boost confidence then this could be for you however because of the negative reviews on this I would say test it out first in a shop. Some chemists and places like Boots will give you a tester if you request one! (well mine does lol).

I'm impressed with it and it is kind to my skin, easy to use and even if you pay near on 16 quid a bottle it will last you ages. This is one of the best day time moisturisers I have ever used and targets issues. It's great....for me!

Available in all good supermarkets and chemists but do test it out first and do look around for it 'on the cheap as it were lol.

Summary: I love it!
