Advantages: Leave a 'glowy' sheen
Disadvantages: A bit powdery
Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkles is another cream I bought in an attempt to keep my skin looking youthful and 'glowy'. I don't have particularly wrinkly skin, but I turned 30 a little while ago, and I am aware that I need to take care of my skin if I want it to stay looking healthy. I've been trying out a few different creams for this reason, Revitalift by Loreal being one of them.
I purchased this product from a Boots store which works out well for me as I get Boots Advantage points that I can use later. It cost somewhere in the region of £10 (I can't remember exactly as it was around 3 months ago), but I can see that it can be bought for £10.99 on the internet. One of the things that attracted me to this cream is that it has SPF15 UV protection - something that many face creams do not have. As my skin is rather sun-sensitive, I was definitely drawn towards this product. It also helps that it comes in an attractive red tall, slim bottle and as the cream is dispensed from a pump, I liked the idea that I would not be wasting it but would instead be taking a controlled measure each time. One disadvantage about the packaging is that the bottle is opaque and so you don't really have much idea of how much product is left!
The actual cream itself smells really nice. Difficult to describe but I would say it is a slightly powdery, musky smell, definitely feminine. And in terms of how it feels, again it definitely has a powdery feel about it. In the beginning I wasn't so keen, as it takes a fair amount of rubbing into the skin to be absorbed, and if not rubbed in enough, I have noticed it can look a bit pasty. However once it is applied properly it does leave a slight glowy sheen, which I do like. Repeated use of the cream definitely equals better results too, as I have noticed that after around 3 months of using this cream, my skin does appear to look quite good.
Does it reduce wrinkles though? In all honesty I'm not sure I can see any difference. Like I said I don't have a massive wrinkle problem, but even so I don't think it has made much difference.
I think I probably would buy this cream again, and if I could, I would have rated it 3.5 stars instead of 3. I like the fact it has SPF protection, which is not always easy to find with face creams. However I don't think I have found the perfect anti-aging cream for me just yet, therefore watch this space for more facial moisturisers!
Thanks for reading!
Summary: Would have rated this 3.5 if I could!
