January is a grim month for many of us, with cold weather and credit card bills arriving showing that Christmas spending. It is also the month when I start to plan a summer holiday! With that in mind I decided to review the sun cream I like to use; L'Oreal solar expertise. I have a very sensitive skin and find many brands of sun cream can irritate my skin. The one brand that seems to suit me is L'Oreal. The Solar expertise range comes in several variants including a factor 50 that is especially designed for children, transparent spray ranging from factor 10 to 20, milk spray mist in addition to the cream I buy. I bought this at the beginning of the summer and hoped to use it at home and abroad as a facial sun protecting cream. I am naturally quite freckled and I'm in my early thirties so the 'Active Anti-wrinkle and Brown Spot' claim was attractive to me. The product comes in a small 50ml bottle which I thought was an acceptable size for a sun cream that was only going to be used on my face and neck. The brand claims on the bottle include the fact that this product "potects against sun induced premature skin ageing" and against the "harmful effects of the sun". I went to Greece in the summer and saw L'Oreal Solar Expertise on special offer in my Sainsbury's so thought I would give it a try as it advertised itself as moisturising and non-oily. Now I think the Greek sun put it to the test because as you can imagine it was pretty hot and I didn't want to burn. I mainly applied the lotion to my face, neck, shoulders and chest as these are my sensitive areas. I was surprised to find that after a couple of days I had not burnt at all and the cream did in fact help to moisturise my skin.
