Advantages: protects hair, and gives shine and smoothness
Disadvantages: does nothing for helping hair to stay straight in wet or humid weather
I have the spray one of these so have reviewed it here as there is no seperate section for it.
I needed something to protect my hair whilst I was straightening it as I do it quite often sometimes twice a day if I am going out that evening. As Loreal is a good brand and also because it came in a pink bottle which was very eyecatching for me I decided to give this a go.
The spray action is really useful it says to allow about 15 sprays for mid length to long hair, this plenty to cover the hair and the spray is quite wide so it covers quite a big area. You then brush or comb it through to ensure its all through your hair. I usually spray a bit more just onto the ends as this is usually where it has the most breakage.
It smells nice when you are spraying it though I can't really smell it for much longer throughout the rest of the day. It has quite a fresh but sweet sort of smell to it its not too overpowering or sickly as I have found with some of my other hair products.
It is quite good for smoothing down flyaway hair although you still need to use a bit of hairspray or serum if you want them to keep down for the rest of the day. When you blowdry your hair it does seem to be straighter than if you don't use this and it really helps your straigteners to glide though the hair leaving it shiny and smooth. I have to say my hair seems to stay straighter when I use this in normal conditions but it doesn't really do anything to stop it going curly again when it rains or in humid weather.
I have been using this for quite a while now and my hair seems to be in better condition with less breakages and frazzled looking ends than it was without using this. So even if it doesn't keep your hair perfectly straight all day it is worth using just for this.
A bottle costs around £3 depending where you get it from and it does last for about 2 months so is excellent value for money.
Summary: well worth trying
