I would say that I don't tend to use Hairspray all that much, only when my Hair is looking a mess and i'm trying to make it look a bit neater when it is needing washed, but that is happening more often thesedays to be fair. My hair is Thick and Greasy, so it needs to be washed every 2nd day. Sometimes on the 2nd day my Hair can often look a bit greasy, so I usually tie it back and try to hide the bad bits. I've never been brand loyal to such a product, but I don't tend to use Supermarket branded Hairspray as I found that the scent of it was a bit too strong. This view goes back a few years though, so perhaps things have changed thesedays.
I picked up a tin of this in Semi Chem about 6 weeks ago and still have about a third of this tin left. I got this for £1.69, but after looking online I see that the price of this seems to be a lot more - Even up to £1 more. This comes in a 200ml tin as an average if not a little more expensive price for such a product.
The tin for this looks alright. It looks like the picture on here. It doesn't exactly stand out against the colourful tins on the shelf, but the shiny silver colouring is alright. The lid is sturdy enough and even though I haven't put this in my bag and carried it about I think that the lid would stay on just fine.
This comes out in quite a fine spray and is sort of a Mist rather than a strong Aerosol. The Spray sets pretty fast and although you can feel that your Hair is that bit crisp it isn't solid feeling. I spray a good amount of this to keep my hair tied back and it holds it back just fine. The scent of this isn't that great - just the usual Hairspray scent which is a bit chemical smelling, but there does seem to be a slight light scent in here as well. Not the worst scent that I have smelt and ok since it is a little light and fresh.
I didn't realise that this gave Volume as well as Gloss. I don't need any Volume for my Hair. I can't see this gives any Volume but bear in mind that I only use this to keep my hair back when it is brushed into a Ponytail. This does seem to give a bit Sheen to my Hair and all in all it is alright. This brushes out easy enough and doesn't flake off in large chunks.
A good enough product and I would consider this again as it does the job alright.
