Advantages: easy to apply, lasts all day, don't need much
Disadvantages: not good concealer
I was actually looking for a tinted moisturiser but walked out of the shop having bought this instead. It promised light, natural looking coverage - and light reflecting particles (whatever that may do for your complexion if there is such a thing!). Well, even though I was 150 points up on my Advantage card, it was still worth the £9 that I paid for this foundation. It's extremely light, very easy to apply and really doesn't look that heavy. I wear this for work as during the winter months my skin (along with practically everyone elses') gets very dry and frankly I need a bit of slap on to look half-human. I don't however, want to look as if I've trowled my make-up on of a morning. This foundation is more of a pick-me up for your skin. Yes, it is a foundation, but it doesn't look like one when you put it on as it doesn't give you the 'made-up' look, more of a healthy looking glow. It's a pump dispensing bottle which is good and bad! Remember and press lightly, you really don't need a lot of this foundation as it goes on very well and rubs in very easily. I got the lightest colour, Soft Ivory, which when I put it on looked like American Tan bizarrely! Fortunately though it resumes normal colour when you smooth it onto your face. Of course the only problem with pump dispensers is when you get towards the end and can't get the final bit out - I've only had the foundation a couple of weeks so I've not reached that stage yet. I would imagine that the bottle will last a couple of months anyway, even using it five days a week because you need very little to begin with. The staying power is pretty good. It's still there at the end of the day and I've never had to do a reapplication half way through the day yet. It's not reacted with my skin either which can be a problem. It has added Vitamin C (which makes it smell nice!) and is so light that
it really becomes part of your skin anyway. If however, you're trying to cover up a spot or blemishes, it's probably best to use a heavier foundation or use it in conjunction with a concealer stick. The spot which appeared overnight on my chin is testimony to that and something I'd not actually thought of would be a problem!
