Advantages: Good for very pale skin, gives good coverage, easily blendable, excellent packaging

Disadvantages: None really

I have a nightmare finding good foundation: my skin is incredibly pale and most brands just do not do shades light enough for my skin tone. I used to use a Maybelline foundation, but even that wasn't quite light enough, and it used to make my skin itch slightly and dry it out (on top of everything, I have sensitive skin). Although my skin would be best described as combination skin, sometimes it does decide to be dry and I don't want to have to get different foundations for different days!

After spending about an hour in Boots testing different foundations, shade C1 (Rose Ivory) in this foundation seemed to be the best match for my skin. I found it appealing that this foundation was available in pink-based skin tones rather than only yellow-based skin tones like other foundation. I was also tempted by the attractive glass bottle and pump dispenser (lessening the chance of transferring germs), although I really can't afford to be picky about packaging - even if I hadn't liked it, I would have still bought it as it seemed the best match!

The foundation cost just under £10, which I felt was good value as I'd be willing to pay a lot more for a decent foundation! Also, I am lucky enough to have pretty good skin so I only rarely use it - only on 'bad skin days' and nights out. Therefore I reckon this bottle will last me a long time, especially as I only use a tiny bit.

When I put this foundation on, I was impressed. I dispensed a tiny amount, applied it to my face and blended with my fingers. I found the foundation to be very light and blend easily; the colour also matched my face, which I was very impressed with! It felt very light on my skin and I didn't feel 'caked' (which I did with the Maybelline foundation to be honest!) I applied powder over the top and it didn't cake or anything.

The foundation seemed to last all day (unlike the powder, but that's another story!).

I will definitely be buying this foundation again - it's light, gives good coverage, has nice packaging, is value for money, and actually matches my skin tone!

I reckon it would suit most skin types, especially oily/combination skin, although perhaps not very dry skin. As someone with sensitive skin, I can report that this foundation did not irritate my skin at all.

Summary: Lovely light foundation

I have the same problem as I'm also very pale. I usually find Max Factor do foundations that suit my skin tone, but I'll look out for this one
