"L'Oreal True Match Foundation is L'Oreal's first foundation to perfectly match the colour and texture of your skin. The result for L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation is a natural looking, skin-true colour without tide-marks and outstanding coverage without caking."

This foundation retails for £9.99, about the average price of a drugstore foundation, and comes in a transparent glass bottle with a convenient pump.

According to the Boots website, this foundation is available in 18 shades. I personally think this is an error and the L'Oreal description says that this is available in 12 shades, which is more realistic. I think that this foundation has a great shade range, from very fair to darker complexions. This foundation easily matched my skin and I had no trouble with tide lines.

"L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation gives outstanding coverage without caking. L'Oreal Paris True Match Foundation conceals imperfections, without caking: its micro-fine, creamy texture blends perfectly with the skin's texture."

I disagree with L'Oreal's claims. I agree that this gives outstanding coverage, nearing to full, but this foundation cakes like nothing else and takes a lot of work to blend into the skin. Even once blended, with its matte finish, it isn't very flattering on my dry skin. This is unlike other MATTE foundations; other matte foundations can look good on dry skin and do not feel really heavy on your face. This feels as if it has blocked all of your pores and that your face is weighed down with make-up.

This foundation will last for about 6 hours and your face will stay matte, even without a powder.

Overall, I would rate this 2 stars as this does give the great coverage that L'Oreal claims and a little can go a long way, but for me there are much better foundations for my skin type (dry). I am unsure on how this affects those with oily skin, but according to the Boots reviews, those with oily skin are not too keen either.

Summary: GIve this a miss
