I don't have the thickest of lashes but I think my eyes are one of the best features on my face (not being big headed or anything) and so in order to really make my eyes stand out I like to use a mascara that really thickens my lashes. I have tried a few different brands and types over the years but the L'Oreal Volume Million lashes mascara is one of the best I have tried.

According to an article I read, The L'Oréal Group is the world's largest cosmetics and beauty company and is now over 100 years old. L'Oreal have such a good reputation in the beauty world, obviously as they are the largest and i have always liked their products and know they are of quite a good quality. It was this reputation that lead me to try their mascara in the first place as I had heard and seen good things about it and it made quite good claims as to the effectiveness of their mascara.

This mascara is said to transform your lashes from short and skimpy to full and luscious. It's like the tag line was speaking to me directly as I have quite skimpy lashes and so this was going to be perfect for me hopefully. The tube of mascara is just like other ones on the market really, it comes in a black tube with volume million lashes written on it and then the wand is in the screw top which is the colour gold. The wand itself has lots of little fine bristles, lots more than other mascara's I have tried and so at first look I found this to be quite a good brush already as I can really see how it coats lots of lashes at one go. Apparently L'Oreal call this a multitude of bristles which separates lashes for a fanned out effect. I think it really does fan out my lashes. I hate it when you get really clumpy bits of mascara on your eyelashes but with all these bristle it really does capture each lash and makes space between them and coats them nicely. It's quite a large brush and wand but I find it really easy to use on my eyes and is not overly heavy or does not get in the way which is a problem I have had with bigger mascara brushes in the past.

The top of the mascara also has an excess wiper which removes excess mascara so you don't end up with this clumps. I think this works well as when I pull the brush through it does seem to wipe off any excess and you don't get too much clumpiness on your lashes.

Like I've said above this mascara claims to give you thicker lashes. It does this because L'Oreal have added an extra dose of jet black pigment which apparently guarantees that your lashes will have maximum impact. I chose the black colour of this mascara and it really does make my lashes nice and dark and they really stand out I think. I have had a few compliments on my eyes recently and I think this mascara has really helped.

The mascara also comes in a brown colour and extra black as well. I have had this for a few weeks now and it is lasting well with daily use. I can see it lasting for quite a few more months yet too. This mascara is fairly expensive at £11.29 but as it works so well I don't mind paying that bit extra.
