Disadvantages: pointless if you live anywhere else!

Ay up me ducks!

As you can probably tell from the title, it's a newspaper based in Derbyshire. And is only available in Derbyshire - sorry! lol.

First things first, Everyone in Derbyshire buys the Derbyshire times, well everyone I know anyway. Even my firend who 'doesn't do reading'!
It costs 55p and comes out every thursday. First you get the headlines and important stories, then you get the less important stuff; like some moron got drunk and... crashed his car, stole a cow, fell in to a canal, etc.
It's quite funny when you read them and then realise you actually know the drunken moron from the story! I sometimes read about people I went to school with or worked with. Hilarious!

You also get three supplements, Business Times, Property Times and Motors.
The property and motor sections are the most comprehensive list of cars/houses available in Derbyshire, so The DT (derbyshire times) is the first port of call when looking to buy.

You also get an entertainment guide with cinema listings, concert, theatre, gigs, comedy, etc. There is a Womans section and sometimes a wedding section.

The page we all turn to first though is usually the obituraries or the 'head n shoulders' as we call them. Depressing I know, I think it's a force of habit or something.

Then you get the announcements, events, births, marriages, honours, wanted, for sale, jobs, then on the back few pages.... sport of course.

I would recommend the DT to anyone living or visiting Derbyshire as it contains almost everything that is going on in Derbyshire at the time. If you don't visit Derbyshire then you probably shouldn't bother as it won't really interest you!

Summary: Great paper, buy it if you're ever in Derbyshire

I like holidaying in the Peak District area. Note to holiday cottage owners, it would be great to have a local paper waiting for visitors!
