Advantages: Delivers local news to Exeter residents

Disadvantages: Dull and boring

The Exeter Express & Echo is the local newspaper serving the Exeter area. It contains accounts of a varied selection of news from OAPs hitting little boys over the head to how well Exeter City performed over the weekend.

It is perhaps not the most intellectual of newspaper however many residents in Exeter purchase it simply to be aware of anything that may affect them or just to be in the know of everything going on around them.

My personal opinion of the Express & Echo is that it always seems biased and has recently slipped further down in my estimations. I don't really know why I buy it anymore. It's very rare that anything is included of interest and the Classifieds take up a huge section of the paper, as does local sport which I have no interest in.

I think the newspaper is designed to make local news accessible to all but unfortunately this means that the paper lacks news that would interest anyone with a bit of intellect. It's a dull, uninspiring newspaper that needs some sort of redesign.

Summary: Poor paper
