Disadvantages: Like many newspapers, can't keep up with the latest news like the internet can

The Liverpool Echo is the largest local newspaper in Liverpool. It is an excellent read. Thursday night is the job night with pages of local jobs.

When I was younger the first thing I wanted to do was read the paper when I got back from School. Is usually comes out in the City Centre at around lunchtime and finds its way into shops further afield by about 3pm and a later edition about 5pm. I'm not sure if this is now going to change as reports in the press say that publication will no longer be in Liverpool. I suppose we'll have to wait and see.

Many of the older population still buy the Echo. I guess it is a kind of tradition. For me I sopped buying it a few years back when I could get all my information on the internet and on their great website.

Liverpool Echo have always been known for sticking up for the people of Liverpool and that is what has made it so popular over the years. The sports reporters are also extremely good at getting inside news out of Goodison Park and Anfield.
