Being a Southampton girl i do read this paper regularly and i have to say its always been very informative and usually worth the 30 odd pence they charge us for it. The first Southern daily echo was published in August 1888. The main office's of the newspaper are in Redbridge area of Southampton. But years ago the main echo office was actually based where the above bar entrance to the shopping centre west quay is.
