Sunderland Echo is the brilliant newspaper that serves the Sunderland and surrounding areas. It is a daily newspaper, apart from on a Sunday, and when I was younger, living in the city, I used to deliver this newspaper all over the place. It is said that more than half a million read this newspaper, on paper and on the internet. The Echo features a lot of things, and mainly writes about stories that affect the local area, but sometimes does feature national stories on the odd occasion. On a Monday, the paper has a sports suppliment, which is in advance to the sports weekend, and provides a commentary to past games and predictions on up and coming events. On a Friday, there is a hige Job and Housing section, where there are hundreds of house listings and jobs advertised. Although the paper does feature jobs on a daily basis, the suppliment is a lot larger.

The Echo has been around for more than a centuary, and is famous in the region. I read this paper all the time, almost every day, and it really is a good read. I have been in this paper when I was a kid, and i still have the old clippings. If you get the chance, have a look online, and read the latest edition to see what you think.
