The Times ... to follow it up, though they do provide a search box to make it easier to find articles. I suppose what makes the online version seem more of an effort is that I am no longer reading on the comfy college sofa (with such high tuition fees these days it would be unspeakable for them to provide us with anything less than comfy sofas!). With the actual paper all of the day's news is in your hands and there is a sense of complacency to know that you will soon finish. Online, it feels as if you're reading forever. The Evening Standard ... they have a supplement on a different topic. I like the one on property. I think it is fair to describe them as a local newspaper, because they are only available in London, but they cover both local issues and National ones. They allow journalists from different backgrounds to write, so that you have Jewish writers, like Cohen, next to muslim writers. I am particularly keen to read the section on finance and life in the City, they are always coming up with some very well thought and written article. Radio Times ... well as highlighting the use of strong language, sex and violence. All the programmes on terrestrial channels carry a brief description as do the films on all channels including Sky, digital and cable and all special sporting events whatever the channel .The latter part of the magazine is given to radio and any unusual programmes are highlighted. It covers all BBC radio stations as well as Virgin and local radio. The last couple of pages contain one of my favourites. The RT has a fabulous crossword puzzle. I'm a bit of a crossword fanatic and the more cryptic they are the better. I find that it really gets the old brain cells working. Here are a couple of clues for you...
