Shropshire Star:
... Shropshire star is my local evening paper, and covers the whole of Shropshire and mid wales, printing eight editions a day, six days a week. It s first every copy went on sale back in 1964, and since then has kept Shropshire residents up to date with all the local, national, and international news. It was the first ever evening newspaper in Europe to be printed by web-offset, right up to the present day, with the ... Daily Mail ... have to say that i cannot STAND the daily mail. Every time I see it something makes me feel incredibly angry. And i worked in a shop that sold it for 6 months so I ve seen a lot of them Firstly, I do not think any paper that has a photograph of a naked woman on every other page can really be taken seriously. I know a lot of men buy it just for this, and to them i say - be a real man and buy some real porn. Secondly, I find it racist, sexist and everything else. Recently I ve been particularly annoyed by the story about Russell Brand and Jonathan Ross. I m all for a bit of privacy and respect when it comes to people sex lives, but when have the daily mail ever gone ... Read the full review: this is not news by forestgateaux |

One of the recommendations was to read film magazines, at the time the main candidates were Empire and Premier. I bought a copy of each and read thru them. Of the two I found Empire to be more suited to me. I felt Premier was a little dry for my liking where as Empire had a certain humour and light-heartedness about it which I liked. I continued buying Empire throught out the time of my studies and really grew to love it, I found I could on the whole trust the re... Closer Magazine ... religiously brought closer magazine for about 2-3 years near enough every week. I brought it for the celeb gossip, showbiz news, and diet advice. I used to love reading it, and at £1.20 it seemed cheap enough. About 3-4 months something inside me clicked, reading all the stories and then hearing them else where- the news, other magazines, they never seemed to match? and i realized that the closer published a load of crap. The bright cover with shocking headlines draws people into buying the magazine, but reading the content 90% of it wasn t true. I mean how many times in one month can you read about Katie and peter splitting up just because they ve got a picture...
