... day I ll understand the appeal of Hello, its basically a magazine ofr people window shopping on the rich and famous private lives and for me is totally pointless. Hello has been around for about 10 years or so and is genuinely a market leader, indeed its more a market definer spawning a huge range of imitators like Ok and the glossy sunday newspaper mags. Hello features articles on the rich and famous at home, they are posed shots of the famous person supposedly in their home even though I know for a fact that some of the sets are in fact hired apartments. ... magazine was something that I spotted at the airport and with a price tag of just £2 I decided to snap one up and put the free Nails Inc nail polish in to my luggage ready for the flight. There were lots of different shades available with the magazines so I had a flick through and found a nice natural shade which I have given to my sister in law. ... it s brash, yes it s a bit vauge with fact and yes it s trashy, but I m still amazed at the people who turn their nose up at it. The majority of people who sneer at gutter press like this tend to buy broadsheets without actually reading through them but just like to look intellegent when purchasing. If they actually bothered to read both tabloid and broadsheet they would see little difference between the two. Both are bitchy, both are obsessed with celebrity - in the broadsheets cases it s more the dahlings and cads of London s elite scene than Jordan and Lily Cole but the obsession is still the same.
